Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of restorationmedix.com (the "Site") and your engagement of Restoration Medix LLC ("Restoration Medix," "we," "us," or "our") for services. By using the Site or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms. If you sign a written service agreement or work authorization with us, that signed agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

2. Our Services

Restoration Medix is a Washington State licensed general contractor providing water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, reconstruction, remodeling, and roofing services for residential and commercial properties in the greater Seattle area, South King County, and Pierce County.

3. Estimates

• Estimates are provided free of charge and without obligation.
• An estimate is a good-faith approximation based on the conditions visible or described at the time it is prepared. It is not a fixed-price contract and does not bind either party until a written work authorization or service agreement is signed.
• Restoration work frequently uncovers hidden conditions — concealed moisture, mold growth, structural damage, code deficiencies, or pre-existing defects — that cannot be known until demolition or drying begins. Where hidden conditions change the scope, we will communicate the change and document it (typically through a change order or supplement) before proceeding with the additional work.
• Emergency mitigation work (water extraction, board-up, tarping) may begin under a signed emergency work authorization before a full estimate is possible, because delay increases damage.

4. Insurance Claims Work

• Where your loss is covered by insurance, we document the work to carrier standards (photos, moisture logs, scope notes) and, in most cases, can bill your insurance carrier directly.
• You — not your insurance carrier — are our customer. You remain responsible for your deductible and for any amounts your carrier declines to pay, unless your written agreement with us says otherwise.
• We are not an insurance company, public adjuster, or agent of your carrier. We do not decide coverage, and we cannot guarantee that your carrier will approve or pay any claim, in whole or in part. Coverage decisions are made solely by your insurance carrier under your policy.
• Our assistance with claim documentation is not legal or insurance advice. For coverage disputes, consult your carrier, a licensed public adjuster, or an attorney.

5. Contractor Registration & Disclosure

Restoration Medix LLC is registered as a contractor with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, license #RESTOML745JA, and is bonded and insured as required by RCW 18.27.

Notice to customers (RCW 18.27.114): Washington law requires contractors to be registered and to carry a bond and insurance. These provide limited protection and may not cover the full cost of a claim. You may verify our registration, bond, and insurance status at the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries website (lni.wa.gov) or by calling 1-800-647-0982. Any person who performs work on your property may have lien rights under chapter 60.04 RCW; on qualifying projects you are entitled to disclosure statements and lien-release documentation as provided by law.

6. Payment Terms

• Payment terms for each project are set out in your written work authorization or service agreement.
• For insurance-billed projects, your deductible is typically due when work begins or as specified in your agreement, and the insurance-paid balance is due upon the carrier's disbursement.
• For non-insurance projects, invoices are due upon receipt unless your agreement states otherwise.
• Past-due balances may accrue interest and reasonable collection costs to the extent permitted by Washington law, and unpaid work may give rise to lien rights under chapter 60.04 RCW.
• Deposits and progress payments, where required, will be stated in your written agreement.

7. Scheduling & Response Times

We dispatch crews 24/7 and target a 60-minute on-site response for emergencies within our service area. Response and completion times are good-faith targets, not guarantees — weather, traffic, call volume, material availability, permitting, and insurance approval timelines can affect schedules. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate contact and property information and reasonable access to the work area.
• Disclose known property conditions (prior water events, asbestos, lead paint in pre-1978 homes, etc.) that could affect the work.
• Secure or remove valuables from the work area; we are not responsible for undisclosed valuables left in active work zones.
• Obtain any homeowners-association approvals required for exterior work, unless we agree in writing to do so.

9. Use of the Site

The Site and its content (text, images, logos, and the Restoration Medix mark) are owned by Restoration Medix LLC and protected by intellectual-property law. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the Site, including submitting false lead information or interfering with its operation.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is" for general information and are not professional advice. See our Disclaimer for important limitations regarding restoration outcomes and insurance claims.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Restoration Medix's total liability arising out of the Site or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or remedies that Washington law does not allow to be limited, including rights under written workmanship warranties in your service agreement.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Venue for any dispute arising under these Terms lies in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, unless your written service agreement provides a different dispute-resolution process.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
